Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about using Rentero — for landlords and tenants.
Your first property is always free, with no time limit. Every additional property costs €7.99/month or €79.90/year (two months free compared to paying monthly).
No — every new property (second and beyond) gets a 3-month free grace period from the moment it's added, so you have time to set up the listing and details before billing starts.
Once the grace period ends without payment, additional properties (second and beyond) become read-only until the subscription is settled. Your first property is never locked.
Contracts are generated digitally from templates compliant with Croatian law. Both parties sign electronically, and once signed, the contract content is locked — any change creates a new contract version.
Via a HUB3 barcode (Croatia) or NBS IPS QR code (Serbia) — just scan the code in a mobile banking app. A manual bank transfer to the landlord's account is also possible.
Rent payments auto-confirm after 20 days if the landlord neither rejects nor confirms them earlier. Note: this only applies to monthly rent — deposit returns have no auto-confirm and always require the tenant's explicit confirmation.
Yes — one Rentero account can hold both roles. You can switch your active profile between "Landlord" and "Tenant" from the menu at any time.
It's a tenant reputation profile — it shows on-time payment history and reviews received from previous landlords, making it easier for a new landlord to decide.
Account deletion is two-stage: login is disabled immediately, with the option to restore within 30 days. After 30 days, personal data is permanently and irreversibly anonymized — transaction history remains for legal purposes, but without personal data.
Rentero is currently active in Croatia. Serbia is in progress, and the platform is gradually expanding across the region.
